The cycling stage begins in the historic Viborg, a city where the army roads have meandered through the centuries from near and far.
The route takes you through the magnificent landscape that Dollerup hills offer. The stage will also lead you past the old royal town of Jelling.
Bike from Viborg to Silkeborg
The bike stage begins in the historic Viborg, a city where the ancient military roads have meandered through the centuries. Along the way, you can also enjoy the sight of the dramatic and beautiful landscape formed in the ice age with Dollerup hills to the east and flat heaths to the west. After 24 km, you reach Silkeborg, where you've earned a lunch break.
Enjoy your breakfast in Silkeborg
Silkeborg town is a small detour from the Hærvejen cycle route, but in return, there is a large selection of lunch cafés. For example, you can have a delicious lunch at Panorama Food & Wine.
Bike to Funder
Continue from here the last 21 km to Funder through kilometers of rich nature with plantations, heaths, bogs, and some of Denmark's cleanest lakes.

Bike to Nørre Snede
The first 24 km of today's stage to Nørre Snede takes you past Vrads Sande and by the Tingdal Lakes.
Take a break in the city
In Nørre Snede, you can find yourself a delicious cup of gourmet coffee at Nørre Snede Coffee Roastery and visit Nørre Snede Church, where the first part of the church dates back to the 12th century. At the churchyard office, it is also possible to get a stamp in your Hærvej passport.
Bike to Jelling After the break and the experiences in Nørre Snede, you are ready for the last 30 km towards Jelling, where you will, among other things, ride through Nedergaard Forest before you arrive at the area around the sources of the Gudenå and Skjernå rivers
You have completed the entire trip when you stand at Jelling Station ready to take the train back to Viborg.

- Transport back to ViborgFrom Jelling, you can take train RA 5924 (Vejle Station) 1 stop to Vejle Station, then take IC 437 (Aalborg Station) 2 stops and get off at Aarhus H. The last train you need to take is RA 5455 (Viborg Station), get off at Viborg and find your car.
