Vrads-Nørre Snede
MidtjyllandVrads-Nørre Snede
You will pass through beautiful, rolling countryside, heathlands, plantations, and small lakes. Among other things, the 11-kilometer stage takes you past some of Denmark's cleanest lakes, the protected Tingdal Lakes, before you arrive at Nørre Snede, which has been a focal point for travelers on the Hærvejen route far back in history.

The Tingdal Lakes
Rævsø, Grane Langsø, Kalgård Lake, and Kongsø are commonly referred to as the Tingdal Lakes. They constitute a unique natural area of very clear, oligotrophic lakes, known as "Lobelia lakes" because the two-lobed lobelia plant grows in them. The lakes and their surroundings are very vulnerable to human impact and are therefore protected. For this reason, you must not walk on the tree- and shrub-free banks or swim, fish, and sail in the lakes.
You will notice that the surrounding areas are mainly composed of plantations and moorland. To the west of Kalgård Lake and Kongsø, the Kongsø Heath extends, where nature conservation is carried out to preserve the open landscape and prevent overgrowth of vegetation, while a small dammed lake with a fortified hill called "Hansborg" can be found here.
Park your bike, as the marked trails and information signs make it easy to explore the scenic area.
